Angela Babaev, DNP, MSN, BS, CNS, RN

Throughout her career, Babaev has fostered high nursing standards, best practices and performance, and patient satisfaction, while maintaining fiscal stability and developing innovative new services. Her exceptional track record of positive outcomes is the result of her strong managerial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
As Assistant Vice President for Education and Nursing Recruitment at SBH Bronx Health System, Babaev is dedicated to promoting excellence in patient care through the support and professional development of the nursing staff; the development of an evidence-based nursing practice; and the nurturing of an environment that continually redefines quality patient care.
Prior to joining SBH Bronx Health System, Babaev served as the Director of Nursing Education Department at Mount Sinai, Beth Israel (MSBI). In this capacity, she oversaw all educational, managerial, and financial operations for multiple MSBI locations with a total nursing staff of 1,500.
Babaev began her career at MSBI as a Nurse Education Manager, creating the innovative Blue Sky nurse recruitment and retention project. Since its inception, the program has mentored more than 600 nurses and achieved a retention rate of 94 percent. Later, as Senior Nurse Education Manager at MSBI, Babaev was responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating quality educational programs for the hospital’s nursing staff.
A recognized thought leader, Babaev has spoken on topics ranging from transformational leadership to nurse-related patient satisfaction scores. She has created and led numerous nursing education workshops and served as a Lecturer of Program for International Nurses (PIN).
